Daily Devotion

Revelation 2:5- "Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place"

The church of Ephesus is praised for its hard work, perseverance, and not being weary. However, the Holy Spirit points out that they have forsaken their first love. They became so busy that they began to forget Christ. If our love for God and our neighbours grows cold, then all other works are in vain. Let's remember the joy, love, zeal, and gratitude we had when we came to Christ. Today, let us acknowledge our backsliding, confess it, and act on it so that we will be rewarded with the right to eat from the tree of life.
